HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS! DO YOU LOVE COMPUTER CHALLENGES? HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS! ARE YOU LOOKING FOR CHALLENGING RESEARCH-BASED ACTIVITIES TO INTRODUCE CYBERSECURITY TO YOUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS? THEN YOU NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR GENCYBER CAMP!
Join high school students and teachers from southern Arizona for this week-long scholarship camp on the principles, risks, and applications of cybersecurity!
WHAT IT’S ABOUT: Hands-on activities and investigations that will be led by UA faculty and cybersecurity (hacking prevention) experts. YOU will explore the concepts of cybersecurity and learn about careers and academic programs in cybersecurity.
WHERE: Biosphere2
WHEN: June 8 – 14, 2014 OR July 13 – 19, 2014
TEACHER STIPEND: Teachers will receive a $500.00 stipend for participation. If teachers design up to 2 lessons to teach in their classroom, the teacher will receive an additional $250.00 per lesson plan.

*In order to reserve a spot in the GenCyber camp, we are asking families to send a $20.00 deposit for their child’s participation. Please note that all lodging, meal, and activity costs will are paid for by a grant by the National Security Agency. This deposit will be reimbursed to families upon completion of the scholarship camp.
